Power Loc Noise?

Should a Power Loc make any noise in slow speed tight cornering like turning
into a parking stall?  I get somewhat of a muted ratcheting sound from my
reared during tight slow speed cornering.  I may get it at higher speeds
too, but the other noises of my Scout are more noticeable then.

The power loc is stock in my '72 Scout II with 3:73s and 31" tires, 258,
T-18, and stock suspension.
