9" ford rear



Forgot who asked, but:
With those questions about shims, etc.:  I'd recommend
you just take the center section to a shop and have them
put in the desired parts (pinion&ring gear?) and do the setup.
Yes, it needs shims, but with wear on the bearings and that
parts swapping, you are better off letting a pro do it.  And, 
with a 9" Ford, you can just take the center section, not
the whole axle.  This feature, and the durability, are the
two great things about this particular axle, IMHO.
