Actually, that isn't just a nit. It is a perfectly viable idea. My concern
was that I would be taking the motorhome to a motorhome "specialist" and
they are fully versed in Tquads and their extensive use on Dodge 440-3
powered motorhomes of the late seventies and early 80s. And, our laws here
are that stupid and strict. Nothing but stock is valid, unless a California
Air Resources Board Executive Order was issued for that particular part to
be used only on that year, make & model of vehicle. And, even though I
found both Edelbrock and Holley listings C.A.R.B. approved for Dodge trucks
over 6,000 GVWR, late seventies models, with the 440, both Holley and
Edelbrock tell me that these are not approved for use wihtin motorhomes.

Even the Tquad I'm going to use won't be the right model that was used on
motorhomes (I have one of those, but it needs help). But, the technician
won't check the model and serial number on the carb, unless the motorhome
doesn't pass and he wants to tear into it (I won't let him).

So yeah, you can get away with some things, but if you get caught, you can
kiss off your vehicle.

Welcome to my nightmare!
