Tom,

  I may be way off base here, but when I went from Scout II synchro 3-speed
(T??) to T19 to in   my '67 something didn't fit.  It's been a while so I
don't remember everything about the swap.  I was using the stock (I think )
'67 800 Dana 20.

   All I remember was it wasn't a straight bolt-in.  And like you, I didn't
find out until I was trying to bolt things together in the vehicle.  Maybe
some transfer cases are different ?
