Junkyard visit
Corn Binders,
Today's visit to the junkyard, while fun, was a bit disappointing: only
2 Scout II's, 1 Traveler which had been turned into a flatbed, and a
single Scout 800. I was able to score a pair of driveshafts, as well as
a few odds & ends (Yugo weather stripping!). I didn't find a Scout w/
A/C, and after I considered all the other things I have to do - exhaust
system (thanks for the info John), my rear diff oil seal is leaking, my
front transmission seal leaks, my front drive shaft is trash... Well,
you get the point. I think the on-board air needs to be bumped in
priority here. If nothing else, next summer is coming. I think
pneumatic hose fittings & the such will make great stocking stuffers this
year :).
I did notice, when I got home, that it seems like my rear end (of my
truck, that is) is even "more lower" than the front with the 4" Skyjacker
lift. The springs have been on for about a year now - I'm not sure I
like this too much.
Oh yeah! Also scored a set of door panels - the sheet metal type instead
of the cardboard type that came with the truck. Looks like I'll be busy
for a while.
