Spring Lift

I went out and bought new u-bolts for the spring lift I'm doing on
saturday. I got (6) 5/8" u-bolts on 22" long rods and (2) 5/8" 24" long
rods for the shoulder. They were $8.50 a piece! I haven't tried them out
on the shoulder portion of my spare axle yet. I went to 5/8" for the
extra strength. They are really beefy.
I am going to start the job on friday night. I hope to get the rear
springs off friday night. That will be the hardest part. The front I had
off last year and that has fresh grade 8 zinc coated bolts in there
already. I can't wait. I guess I need to do before and after
measurements. Yom, you go from the top of the tube to the frame bottom,
right?
