Still hard start

My Scout must be pissed at me for leaving it at the airport while I was
playin' at the Nationals...

It's still hard starting.

Now I'm also getting a "chunking" from the starter some times while
cranking. It doesn't go to the "low battery" slow turn, but it sounds like
a relay rapidly clattering back and forth... a "grrrrr" type of sound that I
at first thought was the solenoid not sliding the bendix.. but I'm not
positive. I try the key a few times more, and it works fine.

I can also be running the starter, just fine, when it starts this "grrr"
type of sound.

I'm going to finish splicing the bulkhead main power lead back together
"right" tonight... hopefully that resolves the problem.

But aside from that, it's still being a snot about starting. I'm going to
check the timing and points if I can tonight. It was last timed to 16BTDC
by a shop.. it might be too much. The non-functioning accelerator pump may
also be a contributor to making things that much more difficult (it *will*
get fixed tonight)...

I didn't enjoy the two stalls the Scout gave me on my way to work this
morning... jump out in traffic to hit it with some starting fluid just
because I'm tired of it talking back..

Almost got it running right... I think I'm going to try for some Thrush Boss
Turbo mufflers tonight and I'll finish putting the tailpipe on so I'll stop
poisoning myself.. I may have a trail ride to do this weekend. :)
