Not to mention the fact that less oxygen molecules per volume of air, the
air / fuel mixture ratio will be richer. A richer mixture results in
cooler combustion temperatures... everything else being equal of course.
Heck, with Hoff's water injection system and the resulting richer mixture,
you're engine just becomes one giant air conditioner. Ice pellets come out
the exhaust!
