Just another note on this, my 71 (which had the solinoid go) is all
stock points with a PerTronix now but not at the time. My 79 has a Hot
start problem where I turn the key and nothing happens, no click, I know
this means the starter/solinoid is going. I turn the key a couple of
times and it eventually turns over. Once it turns over it fires right
up.
