Hot start problem????   Won't crank when hot????   Starter draws upwards 
of 400 amps and cranks like a dead battery????  Been there done that.

Change the starter!  About half the rebuilts don't work.  

John Hofstetters son holds the record for bad starters.  I think he got 
something like a dozen bad ones in a row.

I think the consensus is that the best thing is to rebuild it yourself.  
Unless the commutator or the windings are toast.
