I too have seen Imron paint cracking and chipping in off road use. I
know that when it came out with it's catalytic hardener, it was heralded
as one of the hardest paints. Thus, I have come to the unprofessional
conclusion, that it is NOT the paint to use on a flexible 4WD off road
vehicle. Heck, something flexible like "Plasti - Dip" would be the
better way to go.
