RMIHR and beyond
Tom M said,
>Well, RMIHR was a blast... cold and wet, but a blast ....
I agree whole heartedly, enjoyable drive down and even more enjoyable once we set up camp. Tom, Thanks for everything and sorry I missed you on Tuesday night, got hung up in Leadville with relatives from Alabama but I did get in a nice drive up Mount Zion (above Leadville) on Wednesday.
>Met way too many great folks..
yup, lots and lots of wonderful folks.
> then I raced my Scout (beat Theresa in
>Banshee once!) and lost the show & shine (duh). ;)
Got some nice piks of you and Tigger<g> should drop them in the mail soon.
> The whole trail resulted in one new door
>ding....
Twin cone got my am/fm antenna, another digester has a nice bent drag link trophy but we will have to drag him out of lurk mode to find out who it is and how it happened ;)
>The drive into Moab was beautiful..
Did you take the Cisco road?
Then Ken Farmer had this to say,
> While the idea of poking friendly fun at jeeps sounds attractive
>to me, burning it just kinda sends the wrong message.
The jeep burning was done as a fund raiser for the Fairplay fire department and it netted them about (correct me if i'm wrong) $240.00.
I would have given them about that much for the front bucket seats (6 way electric, not in bad shape) and some one in the crowd said the tranny was rebuilt a month or two ago. Parting the jeep out would have netted more than burning it
> Unfortunately,
>my wife, Jennifer, had such a great time that it will be difficult
>to leave her behind next year.
Same here.
>The net result is I'll get stuck trying
>to keep an eye on my kids while trying to watch IHs next year too!
I will bring two babysitters next year just to help folks like you out....shuuu... my daughters might hear me.
>Willy: thanks for the transportation compensation!
You are welcome, the shipping charges saved were more than the cost of the comp and my 1000 mile gas bill.
I have lots of Digest to catch up on.
