engine woes

Steve & Doug,

	THanks for the replys.

Steve, I dont think my wires are bad because I checked the spark at the plugs
and it seemed ok. I have'nt checked the resistance of the wires,
I know I should. I also just replaced my faulty gold box. I was thinking that mabey
my compression was borderline of being able to fire. and that the lowest ones were too
low to fire at low rpm's. But, at highter rpm's there wasnt enough time for gasses to
leak past valves or rings,so then the pressure was high enough to fire.

Doug, Your suggestion sound promising. It would make alot of sense for
the IH engineers to make the intake manifold so that if one side of the
carb wasnt working only every other one if the firing order would be affected. This
would keep the engine running smoth if the carb was pluged.

I guess first thing monday morning i will be checking the wires and the intake
manifold routing. -Contrary to normal people, I work all weekend and work on my truck
mon-thur (I'm a waiter).

	-Grant
