Sunny today ... probably low 60s ... perhaps time to rebuild my 
steering column again ...

which reminds me, I noticed that my ex-horn contactor pin did not 
touch the contact ring (mounted on plastic cup thingy) unless I fully 
compressed and clamped my steering column upper spring.  If I want 
any spring action, there will be no horn current.
