clarification



Hi scouters

Today I was just thinking about some past digests and needed some
clarifications on a couple items.  Will any IHC motor (IHC 4, 6, and 8) bolt
up to any IHC transmission? (with the exception of early 80/800's that are
crooked) Will the bell-housings differ?   What about the setup on a diesel
being applied to a gas engine?  On another note, when I turn on the
headlights for my 800 the front running lights go out.  Might it be the
switch?  Lastly, has anybody put Scout II axels under their 800?  I would
like to do that this summer and I would like to know what kind of mess I am
getting myself into.
