Electric drain mystery/problem

Which cracked my humorless facade.  Actually it made me laugh out loud...

So far the temporary fix has been to drive it every day &/or hook up the
battery charger.  Last time I looked it wouldn't spark!  Hmmm, maybe Dan
wasn't kidding!
