Your description of the "panel" makes it sound like one.  A regular bed wouldn't have a storage place like that.  That's from the Travelall body.  And there's plenty of room for a jack and 9.50x16.5, despite how it appears.

And the cover panels are readily available, as they're just the regular Travelall part.

The Wagonmaster has an integral, rather than a separate bed. That's the fastest way to tell if you've never seen one.
