  My '68 800 has a 4-cyl and after 10 years of sitting needed the 
core replaced.  A local shop here did just that, and the bill was 
only around $170.  I'd like to think that a good shop would make one 
up for you using the endcaps off your present core (for a lot less 
than $400, I'd hope).  Let me know if you need the name of the people 
that did mine (in Southeastern Va).
