Pickups & Welds & Theft Prevention
1) There has been a IH pickup in the paper here for about 4 weeks, $750, way
too much, It went down to $500. I had to see it, after all the talk about
pickups. Its a 1955, I-6 step side, to rough for me for another project, the
owner was willing to take $400. (El Paso) still looking for a 800 half cab
2) With the money I'm saving from buying another IH, I'm planning on a Warn
xd9000i, I would also like to put it as close to the front as possible, If
i cut/alter the front brace and reposition another behind the radiator, what
kind of welding should be used. Can i use a stick welder(6013-7018) or
should not do this unless i mig weld the frame
3) My theft prevention measures are as following: The steering column key
doesn't work; remote key by hood latch; Park lock doesn't work, only starts
in neutral; hinden push button that has to be push when turn key; gas shut
off; U-lock around steering wheel and front roll cage. This is because
70-80 vehicle are stole every week, mostly f@#ds & C%^vys.
I could make things easier by getting a new shift cable.
Thanks
