prestolite ignition module

 I put a new module (made by standard) in my prestolite and my Scout
would't start any time it rained. The new module doesn't have the same
plastic coating on it, but does have a thin coat of some kind of resin
or something. I swapped the new module for another new one(warreny) and
would like some suggestions on further waterproofing it before
installation. I was thinking of packing it with some dielectric grease
or maybe putting some of that liquid rubberized stuff on it. Any
Suggestions?
