My guesses from lifting and carrying stuff (I'm rebuilding a 392, but a 345
should be close):
Block: 175
Crank: 70
Pistons: 50
I was able to lift/drag/controlled drop a block out of the back of my Scout
by myself, so it can't weigh that much. I've got a block with the crank
installed that I can sort of walk around to move it without help. Remember
that the heads weigh about 80 lbs. each, and the intake weighs about 70 lbs. -
you lighten up the engine quite a bit by removing these.
