Re:website, Ads, Durabak Bedliner, parts sources
Thanks Allan for the tip!
I am just about ready to finish the rebuild of
my truck and the more I get into the history of International Harvester
Corporation trucks I find myself wanting to collect some of the advertising that
promoted these great trucks.
I bought an advertisement copy from Ken Young of
Vintage International Parts and I was wondering if you had any more sources for
advertisements and/or sales brochures for the 1953 R-110
trucks.
Thanks in advance for your help!

1953 R-110, restored to its original Air Force
colors
P.S
And while I'm thinking of it...this truck that I
own had once been a part of the United States Air Force motorpool inventory.
Being an active duty member of the Air Force, I restored the truck back to its
original Air Force "Stratoblue" color and restored the door
registration numbers. I am perplexed about the hood ornament that adorns
the hood. Looking at some pictures of R-110s, the hood ornament looks like
a wing of sorts...my hood ornament however looks like a stylized ram's
head. I am just wondering if the boys in blue might have taken the hood of
an L model and placed on the R. Any thoughts??
