I carry the IH bottle jack but also a large aftermarket scissor jack I
bought at an auto parts store. The scissor jack is mainly carried as a
backup in case I need two jacks, but also to help other helpless motorists
on the side of the freeway. It amazes me how people I stop to help have no
jack, no lug wrench (or one that doesn't fit) and an almost flat spare
tire. I pull over in my red, white and blue Traveler, whip out the scissor
jack and four way lug wrench - and they just stand there not knowing if I'm
from the government, AAA, or what! Then when their mostly flat spare tire
is mounted, I pull out the air hose from the back of my Traveler and air it
up. The later usually blows them away and they simply can't understand
where the air is coming from. The look on their face as they go from
despair to joy and confusion is worth my trouble. But I digress...
I keep one of those large black with gray topped Rubbermaid bins in the
back with a complete tool set (to perform all common IH maintenance tasks),
scissor jack, lug wrench, 1 gallon gas can, 1 gallon water, tow strap,
jumper cables, air hose, gloves, paper towels, hand cleaner (great after
scrounging through junk yards), flares, etc. etc.

Take the top *and* windshield frame off and it looks even more like maybe a
brick or a shoebox with wheels.

Ditto.
