Leaking M/C

Tom, about a month ago my m/c (in the '79 was leaking).  Thought it was the
cover, turned out there is a plug on the bottom of the m/c that was
leaking.  The rebuilt replacement did not have this plug, curiously.  Also,
BTW, the m/c is the same as "billions and billions" of units on GM's from
the era . . .

.. it now appears the master cylinder is leaking (interesting note: 
it was replaced the day before I bought the Scout).  It's not leaking 
where I would expect it to (output tubes, or the prop valve), but it 
appears to be leaking at the top.. between the tightly clamped "lid" and 
the main m/c unit.
