Looking for 1956 Model -Reply

Joe;

Like you, I am just trying to find a single model. I am not a toy collector
and I am a very small time truck restorer. As I indicated, I am currently
restoring a 1950 l-110 PU full size and wanted to find the original promo
model. Unfortunately, they seem to have pretty well disappeared.
Wouldn't it be nice if a new model was produced? Certainly, the "R"
series is well recognized in the larger truck models.

Do I gather that you collect Mack trucks? fullsize? Do you know Bob
Sadler in Almonte Ontario, a collector of Mack trucks? He is a neighbour
of mine.

Good luck on your hunt. I am also copying our correspondnece to the
Toys newsletters and the IH listserve in the hopes that it prompts
someone to look in their cupboards for these older toys.

Hello
I came accross your address while searching for a model of an
International pick-up truck. I am trying to find a model of a 1956
International Pick-up, I believe an S-100 model. I want to give one to
my dad as a gift since he has been driving one since 1957 and still
keeps it in good shape. I though it would be cool for him to have a
model of his truck. I have never seen a model of one anywhere. Do you
have any to sell, or do you know either where I can get one, or where I
could get someone to build a custom made model of one? His is
andirondack green with a tan interior dash. I hope you may have some
info for me. Thanks for your help.
