Wiring for overhead lights: 70s Travelalls

I think I've figured out a method to run a large number of wires
to the top of the truck in order to power an overhead setup.

Remove the standard Hood cowl antenna, and place through a 1/2"
or greater conduit either flexible steel, or rigid EZ-form 1/2
steel. I'm going to try to fab up a rigid pipe in the next few
days. I'm pretty sure I can form the tube to go out the antenna
hole (rt. side hood cowl), up the pillar, along the rain gutter,
and to one of the roof rack pylons. There are large openings in
the hood and interior (behind the glove box and inside the fender
from the wheel well) to run connectors etc. through. About sealing
the conduit, there are bulkhead connections made to feedthrough
power boxes, one of these may fit perfectly. I plan to silicone
over the top, and seal it up tight. I believe this to be the
shortest route for the run from the battery to the roof, but the
switching is another story. Usually you want the power switched,
so it might get a little hairy. I plan to put a switch pack in the
middle of the dash underneath the heater/AC controls with relays.

        Ideas anyone?
