RE: Flywheel Cover
Dan,
It took me along time to find a flywheel cover for my '65
model 80. I finally got a used one from Light Line of
Louisiana. It's metal, and has a small hole in it cut by
the flywheel (someone musta bumped a rock or something).
You can try either Outback Parts in Washington or Giddum Up
Scout in Colorado. One of those 2 places had new ones, but
they were too pricey for my wallet. About $80 if I remember
correctly.
You also might try Border Parts here in San Diego. John, the
owner told me that he had a couple at his other shop, but
every time I called him about them, he said that he hadn't
been out there yet. He had told me he would sell one to me
(used) for $10...
Good Luck, and happy hunting,

Subject: flywheel cover
Hello all.
Just a quick question. I need a new flywheel cover for my Scout 800. It
is a '66. The one that I have now looks like it is some kind of
plastic/rubber. I would like to find one soon, 'cause I really don't want
to drive down any gravel roads with the one I have. Does anyone know
where I can find one for sure? I will check my Super Scout Specialists
catalog again, but I don't remember seeing one in there. Thanks in
advance.
