E39 Exhaust Modification Question

Hi all,

I just rejoined this group after an absence of a couple of years...just
bought a '99 540i 6-speed.

As my 1st mod, I would like to replace the stock muffler with an aftermarket
product with twin exhaust tips going theough the rear bumper cover. I have
been unable to find a plastic piece (like the one supplied with Schnitzer
with their bottom lip kit). I called CEC and was told they would not sell
this part unless I bought the entire kit for $699 I think.

I've seen pictures of dinan exhausts with a cut out of the bottom of the
valence with no cover/cap, but don't like the way this looks as you can see
the edges of the cut out. Anyway, I'm hoping someone else has solved this
problem somehow.
