The trunk latch button on my 97 M3 no longer operates the latch. If someone can tell me how to manually operate the latch so I can get the trunk open I would really appreciate it. I do not think the trouble is with the electrical portion of the lock as I can hear it release when I turn the key. However, the button remains disengaged as if locked.
