pre-inspection mechanic in Long Beach area?

Hi Digesters,

This is my first post here.   I have been lurking for a while, and want to
say thanks to everyone for the informative and valuable postings.

I have a friend who is considering the purchase of a 2000 323i.  The car is
in Long Beach (So. California).   Can any of you recommend a good,
independent BMW mechanic in that area that my friend could consult for a
pre-purchase inspection?
