Is the hesitation related to engine temperature? Ambient temperature?
Throttle position? Slush box gear selection?
Barring further details, I would go with the usual suspect - the Idle
Control Valve (ICV). Even if it passes Bentley resistance checks it may
still be bad. New ones used to go for around $100 and junk yard used ones
for half that. Or borrow one from a friend who owns an Eta engined bimmer.

Do you mean your idle is unstable?
