Absolutely!
Guibo == flex disk. I think E30 Bentley (www.rb.com) covers the procedure.

Absolutely.
Generally, everything goes bad with age. Rubber components first and 
foremost. If you are going to start driving your car, prepare to replace 
all rubber components: suspension bushings, hoses, etc.

Age and rubber rotting has as much if not more to do with parts 
degradation that mileage.
