E39 manual trans

I am new to the list and have a question regarding my 1999 528 w/manual trans
that I purchased recently. Has anyone experienced difficulty shifting into
first from a standing stop? It generally goes right in when rolling slowly and
happens about 50% of the time. Dealer said he couldnt reproduce it, but now
that its colder it seems to be happening more. Has anyone tried Redline
products in the tranny?
