Check diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern, hubcentric center bore.
The definitive E28 wheel fitment database is in the zipped Excel
spreadsheet maintained at

http://home.earthlink.net/~jlangowski01/bmw/e28_wheels.htm for those
without the ability to read an Excel spreadsheet.
