<For Sale- E34> 1992 525i (5spd) for sale

Well, the day has arrived- (I fly to Germany next week to pick up a new
530i sport on European Delivery) and I need to sell my current car...

While I'm well aware that the 525i is not exactly a rocket sled, it does
get out of its own way (manual trans) and the Dinan suspension makes it fun
to drive.

I'd like to sell it quickly, and am asking $8,500, which from what I see is
below market.

Menlo Park (SF Bay Area), California

147K miles, mostly highway (I have a 30 minute reverse commute to the East
Bay from the peninsula)
Green w/Sand leather, Vavona redwood trim and OBC (premium package)
5 speed manual trans (with shorter throw shifter from an E36 M3)
Dinan stage 1 suspension (shocks & springs- slightly lower than stock,
firm but compliant)
upgraded thrust arm bushings (750)
gas slotted front rotors
trunk mounted factory (Alpine) CD changer
tires: Yokohama AVS Intermediate on stock rims

It has recently had a new radiator and clutch (less than 10K miles ago),
and the A/C compressor was replaced last year (upgraded to R134). The
waterpump has the metal impeller (not the plastic one).

All maintenance has been meticulously performed, and everything works.

The paint is in very good shape, except for very minor stone chips near the
leading edge of the hood, and some fade on the top of the rear
bumper. There is a chip in the front windshield that has been stable for 3
years.

The interior is in very good shape, except for typical age-related wear on
the side bolster of the seat on the driver's door side.

All work since I bought it has been performed at the following shops:
Allison BMW (immediately after I purchased it used in 1996, I had them
replace the transmission mounts & guibo and had the compression measured),
then Dinan (suspension upgrade, door seals, rear window mechanisms on both
sides, thrust arm bushings, etc.) and for the past 3 years all work has
been done at Stanford European in Palo Alto (water pump, battery,
thermostat, gas slotted rotors, clutch, A/C compressor, replacement belts,
radiator, etc.)
