Cleaning and Rust Question.

Everyone:

Does anyone have any advise on the best way to clean under the hood of a
1992 535i.  Because of the electronics I will not use steam or water and
cleaning agent.  Any ideas are appreciated.  Also, what is the best rust
removal product to use on the body of a 1988 535i?
