One other thing you might look at is trash in the radiator.
I had the same overheating problem with my M5--as
long as the car was _moving_  everything was reasonable,
but as soon as you stopped, zoom, up to the redline.
Tried everything.  Finally, my mechanic took the radiator
off and flushed it with a hose--you wouldn't beleive the
crap that came out...dirt, bugs, et al.  PUt the radiator
back in, cools like a champ.

Sometimes the simple stuff can get ya....
