325 tranny bolt-up/link-up question

Basic question, but can't seem to find a "for sure" answer":

I've got an 89 325ic with a very tired auto tranny that is about to give up.  Manual says its a ZF, hp22 tranny.  I've found a *similar* tranny from a '86 325e that has been rebuilt & ready to go.  Any good reason not to buy it & attempt the swap?
