Adjustable sway bars

In December I purchased an 86' 325e. While working under the car a few
months ago I noticed thar the car was equipped with Racing Dynamics
springs,and swaybars (front and rear) and bushings. Does anyone have info
on the sway bars and how/why to adjust them?
