Mass Air Flow "MAF" Conversion Kits ???

I own a 1988 M6. I have the Dinan cam sprocket & chip upgrade and Fahey track 
pipe.
I am wanting to increase the low-end torque.
Does anyone know anything about the MAF Kits that Split Second markets?
How much performance increase does it really produce?
Are they noisy?
Are they worth $1000.?
