Re: fuel injector cleaners
While I certainly would not advocate that anyone break the law, I have found
that a shot of Techron cleaner and an "italian tuneup" does wonders.
Of course, the point of an "italian tuneup" is not to go fast, but to get
the RPMs up close to redline and hold them there a few minutes. It knocks
the crud (technical term for carbon deposits) off the exhaust valves, which
is where it usually collects the most. A bunch of it will effectively raise
the compression ratio a small bit, enough to induce pinging.
