My UK 1989 E34 535iS also has a green-tinted windscreen with a green
band along the top.  I think this is original spec for UK cars.  I'm
about to replace my windscreen (damn crack) and all the replacement
companies have quoted me for a windscreen with a green band along
the top.  I would presume that the E30 has the same windscreen spec as
the E34.
