330Ci - will 16" wheels fit?

I thought I read somewhere that 16" wheels wouldn't fit over the 
brakes on my 330Ci, and that I must get 17". The manual only lists 
17" sizes for my model, but lists 16 and 17" for the 323. The guy at 
Discount Tire Direct however says they'll fit, no problem. So before 
I spend the shipping to get them here, can someone confirm this?

Also, any thoughts on Yokohama Guardex 600 snow tires? They're really 
cheap compared to Blizzak and supposedly better (more winter tread.)
