Hi.

My '88 535 died this night when I was on my way home! The lights got
weaker and weaker , the ABS light came on and at last my stereo cut out.

Bad charging system you might say, but I've changed the regulator two
weeks ago, and observed 14,4 volts on the battery with the engine
ideling.

What's strange about this is that the "charging warning light" did not
come on!

Please help me to point out where to start searching.
