It is very difficult to get a whell truly balanced this way, You have to add
more weights in various other positions, and even then it may not work well.
If you are that worried about it, just take them off for the show, and get
them rebalanced afterwards. A concours judge should not be marking you down
just because your car is properly maintained.
You can also try to rotate the tyre on the rim to get it closer to balance.
My E30 325i has a single 10 gram weight on the inside of every wheel, and
one required a 15 gram weight on the outside. That was the factory 15"x7"
crosspokes and Firestone Firehawk V 205-55-15's.
