I have a friend of a friend who has a gorgeous 1939 BMW 327 or is it 328
and is
     thinking of selling it.

If I were to consider buying this, do you know where
I could find info for making an informed purchase. eg.,

     1. Approximate market value
     2. How do you make sure its real, not a fake.
     3. Any other things to watch out for.
     4. Are these reasonably roadworthy -- can you drive these in the
suburbs,
          or are these only for display.
