<E30> Help with Blower Motor

A little advice please=2E
Noticed in today's 85 degree DC heat that the blower motor
on my 85 325e wasn't =2E =2E =2E well =2E =2E =2E blowing=2E
Blows fine at high speed only=2E  Nothing at 1, 2 or 3=2E
Bentley's indicates a fault with the blower motor series resistors=2E
Can the resistor plate simply be swapped out for a new one?
Have any of you who've done this offer a few pointers before
I rip into it?  Any idea of cost and/or BMW part number?  How
long should plan to set aside for the job?
