limited slip differentials II

Hi bmw ppl,

    I got a 328is and i asked you guys earlier about limited slip 
differentials. Anyone living in California that had the differential swap and 
know a place that does it right?  How much improvement did you guys see in 
your acceleration? Is it possible to change the gear ratio to 3.46 without 
purchasing a limited slip diff and just use the differential I have in my 
car?  a response would be appreciated. thanks =)
