[E36] Trick to removing glove box?

Is there any trick to removing the glovebox in an E36?  I removed all 
the screws called out in my Bentley manual and tugged at the glove 
box, but it didn't seem to budge.  Does it require a really hefty 
tug, or does the Bentley manual leave a step out?  I'd hate to snap a 
bunch of expensive plastic just to replace my micro filter...
