[E36]: Strong wheel recommendations for an E36 M3?

My E36 M3 returned from a recent NH to Washington DC road trip with 3 
severely out of round wheels (they were 17x8 Moda Sports with stock 
size 235/40 AVS Sports).

I realize susceptibility to road hazzards comes with the territory 
when running a wheel/tire package like this, but has anyone out there 
in states with less than perfect roads had any luck finding stronger 
than average rims?
